I have had patella femoral syndrom in both my knees for about 4 years now. I am an active and competative dancer and no i can’t take it easy and i will never stop dancing. I wear knee braces whenever i dance and i have gone to physical therapy for about 8 weeks and the tracking of my patella has greatly improved it still rotates a little bit outward but it is alot better and my therapist said my knee control is ten times better. But the pain has barely gone away! I have done the RICE meathod millions of times and while the ice helps for a little bit it is short lived. Is it possible this is not PFS? Do i need surgery? My therapist said there’s not much more he can do…..how can i stop this terrible pain!!!!!!
P.S. I also have been off dance all this week and will be all of next
P.S.S I am a 14 year old female
Okay, I am addicted to water. I have been for over 17 years now. Everyday I will drink 8 or more glasses. I really cannot stop, I’ve tried and I’ll go maybe a day and I go through crazy withdrawls, and I get desperate for it and will do anything to get another drink. The longest I’ve ever gone was 2 days, and I really think I could have died. I’ve tried checking myself into rehab but everytime when I explain my addiction they just laugh at me.
PLEASE help me.
I been having lower back pain and weakness in my left leg for about 4 months.I;ve had both an MRI and a x-ray but neither one showed nothing. They still recommended me to physical therapy.Today was my first day and they gave me an ultrasound and some back exercises to do.
My question is there anyway I can stop this tingling feeling in my leg and how can I stop this weakness in my left leg?Is there any exercises I can do top stop my leg from feeling this way?

Also I did start Torture (Physical) Therapy….yikes!
mistify is right. I cant remember all the dynamics of it without getting out the books. But, say your elbow hurt, and too badly to work the joint. if you work the opposite joint, your mind will translate that information to the affected joint and cause and analgesic reaction. kind of related to the gate theory of pain. I would have to crack open the books to provide better info though. hope it helps
