In May I had a stress fracture to the 5th metatarsal of my right foot, and I am still having pain . An Orthopedic Surgeon diagnosed the pain as RSD- something with my nerves are overreacting to the trauma of the break. Has anyone ever experienced that? If so what was your outcome and how did they treat it? I am in Physical Therapy for it right now, but what happened to you all???

I’m in the military and while in basic training I got a hip fracture on my left hip and a stress fracture on my ipr. I was on crutches for a week and sucked it up and got thru. In A LOT of pain but i managed. I got to my ait (my school) and got back on crutches for a month and did physical therapy. I started running. Still in pain but I was forced to run a long distance and sprint. So my Right hip started hurting. My physical Therapist said because I was favoring the right hip I irritated my right hip flexor.
But it’s been 4 1/2 months. When I came home I was exercising but I either hurt while working out and had to stop or I would be limping and in tears by the end of the night. So I let myself rest and I still hurt everyday no matter what. I just went on a vacation and I walked all day and by the 4th day I needed to rent a wheelchair because the pain was so bad. I don’t know what the cause would be. I got new x-rays and have to see surgeon. But does anyone know why I could be STILL experiencing soo much pain?
Thanks
I am 12 and have had a stress fracture for about 4 months, I am on crutches and I’m starting physical therapy on Tuesday. I am in EXTREME pain during the night, and moderate pain during the day. How long will this go on? Help, please and thank you.
