My aunt and my uncle have both had problems with using drugs for quite a few years now. My uncle dosen’t think that he has a problem whereas my aunt knows that she does. She ran away from him after years of mental, emotional, and brutaly physical abuse to rehab. She won’t tell anyone where this facility was or what she did there. All she would say is that they helped her and that she admitted herself under a false name. Is that even possible? She is staying with my mother (her sister) now that she is out and she is having to hide from her husband because he is pissed off that she ran away. She wants a divorce from him but is doubtful that she will get it. The whole family needs advice about how we can help her and things to avoid or steer her clear of. Any advice will be appreciated. We truly do want her to succeed with her sobriety.

I’m In Serious Glute And Right Leg Shooting Pain. Please Help Me! I’ve Suffered For Too Long.?

I had posterior spinal fusion on September 12, 2007 to reduce the increase on my idiopathic curve for scoliosis. The first 6 months post op were fine but now I have glute pain in my right and left sides but I only feel the pain in my right because the left side is putting tension on the right. I also have shooting pain down the side, front, and back of my right leg and glute. I am up at night in serious pain and sometimes while I’m doing certain steps in dance class it’ll hurt. I have ice packs, biofreeze gel, physical therapy, and a massage therapist helping. I do various glute exercises, along with eight different physical therapy exercises. I feel like there is no answer because even though the massage therapist helped and I was pain free for 9 days, i feel like it’s worsening. Please, somebody answer this question and tell me if there is any other thing I can possibly do to get rid of this pain. I’ve been dealing with this for months. I shouldn’t go through life like this
Due to a workman’s comp issue/injury (see prev ?’s: same injury, dr, lawyer), I’m in physical therapy – their Dr. of course. Part of PT is having electrode things that tingle/vibrate placed on my neck. Afterward, I felt a pain on the back of my neck. I had my daughter look and when i lifted my hair, she screams and says it looks like they put a cigar out on my neck. I immediately took pictures, & contacted my lawyer (after applying burn cream). The lawyer said “it doesnt affect anything unless it gets so infected it scars and needs plastic surgery”. He was SO unconcerned about it. He didnt even want to see the pics. When I went back to the dr, I showed him and all he said was we wont do the electrodes for awhile. It hurts like hell & looks even worse. It IS infected by the way. I dont have insurance & the hospital will charge me full $ to treat it. What do I do?
