27 yo f. 105 lbs 5′4″ I’ve had a sonogram and docs found nothing. One doc thinks it might be a pushed out muscle, she thinks physical therapy can help push it back in.It looks like an oversized love handle and still growing. It doesn’t hurt when I push on it or when when I walk. It’s a very slight pain, that comes and goes every hour or so. I don’t feel it in my spine, just deep in my left side and nothing I do makes it hurt worse. Should docs look for anything else. One doc told me that it’s just fat! Fat doesn’t freaking hurt and I’m skinnier than most of hollywood! Could it be cysts?

This past July I had knee surgery. More specifically repositioning of the patella. In this surgery I needed a bone graft to stabilize the medical implant pin. The bone that was used was not my own due to a past bone marrow transplant.
I know nothing about my donor. I have never really thought to ask until now. As of a month and a half ago, I’ve been getting severe debilitating pain in my knee and have developed a rather large lump and my knee joint. Even more currently I’ve been getting night sweats and the last visit to my orthopedic surgeon he had mentioned that I looked pale.
I’ve done the physical therapy and had all my follow up appointments. I couldn’t imagine them not finding something in all my visits. I have been doing some reading and since I have had a prior bone marrow transplant I’m at risk for developing these kinds of things. I’m meeting with my surgeon tomorrow to see what he thinks. Has anyone had something similar? Are there any particular tests I should ask for?
Aug 29th I had a non-displaced distial radial fracture. A week later it was casted by my primary doc. It kept swelling at the bottom of the cast, pushing my cast up and causing severe pain. 5 weeks later the cast came off (1.5 weeks ago), break healed nicely. Been to physical therapy 4 times, and done my home exercises now as well and wear a simple splint when not doing pt.
But I am still in horrible amounts of pain, can barely move my wrist in any direction. When I do anything with it (sometimes nothing with it as im still off work) it swell horrible, up to double in size from my elbow to my fingertips.
My PT doesn’t seem concerned, but after 10 days out of my cast, 7 weeks after the break, this is starting to worry me. Should I be pushing to see an orthopedist? Should I be pushing for an MRI, or is this all normal?

My feet and legs have been swollen and numb for about two or three months and the pain is not getting better, even with physical therapy. I have tried everything that the doc, recommends, but nothing is working and they don’t seem to have any answers! They’ve done blood tests and an x-ray so far and have found nothing wrong. The pain is getting worse, and I am trying to find out what this could be.
My soon to be mother-in-law has stage IV cervical cancer. It has spread, widely. (spine, legs, abdominal areas, medulla).Currently she is in “rehab” care in a local clinic. They have been assessing her and trying a little physical therapy & pain management. If the rehab doesn’t prove to help any, she will be moved into palliative care on the other end of the building. Yesterday when visiting her, she was very disoriented. She was like this in the hospital while on morphine, which she isn’t on anymore, so it struck me as odd. I felt her skin, it was cool, but her breathing was ok. But, her stomach was ballooned out like she was pregnant and she got very upset, saying that she was nauseaous. They had tried one dose of chemo one month ago that she didn’t take well to, and since, they decided not to go with it again. I know some of these things, the skin, and the confusion are signs of end of life, is the stomach bloating another sign? Or could it be just buildup of gas & fluid?
