I have chronic Achilles Tendinitis, and shin splints. They’ve plagued me for a year and a half now (I first got injured during my second week of Cross Country my freshman year, and they haven’t left yet). I have specialty orthopedics, I’ve seen several orthopedic surgeons, I’ went to Physical Therapy for 2 and a half months, I ice massage strengthen and stretch my shins and calves often but not as often as I should. I’ve also been to a masseuse, I’ve looked into acupuncture a little bit, but never tried it.
This fall I started to make a comeback, the PT and massages really started to help. I was able to steadily increases mileage with only a few bouts of pain, until recently, I increased the length of my long run form 5 to 6 miles and neglected to increase the amount of injury prevention that I do.
I’ve heard of most strategies including using deep heat, which I have not tried yet. If you have any unusual or miracle cures I would love to hear it, I’m at the end of my rope, and I work my *** of out on the roads, and at home with every type of cross training I can. I really feel like I could compete with the best if I ever got to compete for more that a few weeks at a time. Thank you very much. Sorry for any misspellings, this prgram is messing every thing up

OK so about 7 months ago I hurt my wrist during soccer. And maybe 2-3 weeks after that I got a cast. I had the cast for 4 weeks. Then after the cast it was still hurting. 3-4 later I went back and was diagnosed with tendinitis. I was given physical therapy for 6 weeks. That helped my flexibility a lot and the pain some too. But I still have a little bit of pain in my wrists around 7 weeks after my last doctor visit. Help. Do I need to see a doctor again. I have sprained this wrist before. And I am 12. And they say I might, might, might have a cyst. But that’s not likely. Please Help.
I’m a 15 year old cheerleader and I started getting pain in my knees for about 4 months, and I went to my doctor last month and he told me that I have tendinitis. He suggested physical therapy twice a week for 8 weeks, but I never went. I was pain free for about a month and I thought that I was doing well but last week my knees started hurting again. I wanna get back into shape, because I hate being inactive and some people tell me that its good to run when you have knee pain. Is this true?

I was diagnosed with tendinitis 6 weeks ago in my left hand but have had pain for 8 weeks. I have been to the Dr. and have been going to physical therapy and also wearing a brace. I go back to the Dr. next week and I do know that surgery is an option. The pain is not subsiding any suggestions on how to manage the pain?
