I have had tendonitis in my wrist for near two years and it gets so frustrating to have it still be painful. It all started when i was obsessively drawing with a pen till my wrist was in so much pain i had to stop. i thought i was building muscle bc it was sore but wow i was really wrong………… i have done physical therapy, and most of the typical stuff and now i want some more ideas???? i do some of the wrist stretches as well and mostly try to stay off of it. i don’t draw anymore and dabble with the guitar which can make my wrist quite angry? i just need some ideas on how to really get this healed. please………

i have achilles tendonitis and i’m going to physical therapy for it but when im walking my achilles get very tight which tightens and makes my calves burn and achillse and it makes it difficult to walk if im walking long enough. also when im just sitting here right now and i extend my foot to its like pointing vertical and then relax it again i get a burning pain in my calves. also if i flex my calves this sensation happens also. if i flex my thighs the burning sensation is in my knees. what could this be from? my physical therapist said i had some scar tissue growing on my achilles also if that helps
I’m 51, female, was injured when my arm was pulled by husband 2 months ago, and the pain keeps getting worse- having trouble sleeping, and range of motion affected. Doctor wanted to give me cortisone shot, physical therapy hurts, i’m not sure i want to take so much Aleve. Any suggestions?
Has anyone received Shock Wave Therapy for patellar tendonitis, using the Sonorex / Sonocur equipment?
I just started, and since I haven’t read about anyone else (besides Dwayne Wade) doing this, I figure I’d post my results.
How it goes: you do 3-5 visits, 8 minutes each, for about $300 a pop! ouch. but the real pain is with the actual therapy. they can dial up the intensity between 1 and 7. Depending on the location, 3 was unbearable to me. But, it actually feels like it helped after only one session (i have 3 more). it’s expensive, but i’ve done EVERYTHING else to try to fix this problem (RICE, physical therapy, eccentric exercises – although i just started, but it re-aggravated the problem). Stay tuned for my continued results.
I have lost over 50% use of the arm and shoulder and have not gotten a good nights sleep in months. The pain has gone into my neck and cortizone shots have not helped. I have had MRI, x-rays, physical therapy, seen a chrioprator, use ice and heat, advil and muscle relaxers. Anyone that can help me or give me other advice? I am sick of doctors and sick of the pain and I can not help but wonder why this is still bothering me.
