In May I had a stress fracture to the 5th metatarsal of my right foot, and I am still having pain . An Orthopedic Surgeon diagnosed the pain as RSD- something with my nerves are overreacting to the trauma of the break. Has anyone ever experienced that? If so what was your outcome and how did they treat it? I am in Physical Therapy for it right now, but what happened to you all???

I have a grandfather in a nursing home and he was told he couldn’t get long term insurance because of a mistake that was made by the doctor saying he went in because of a heart attack. That was not true. He fell and broke his hip and was only going in for rehab. Now the Physical Therapists are telling my grandmother that he will have to stay there indefinitely and he will not be able to come back home. Well one of my grandmothers options is to divorce him because she cannot pay what they want each month. She is trying to get info from a lawyer and see what all her assets are. She doesn’t want to lose everything and i’m doing the best I can since i just got layed off from my job that went over seas. I want to know if their is something that we can do to get help financially.

I had an injury some years ago which has just resurfaced. I looked up the name of the therapist and she is still licenced but I don’t know which office she works with. How do I find her?
I need someone to help me please! Different docs say different things?! People close to me can’t even understand. Let me explain.
I am a 20 year old male. i am 5′ 8″ 160 lbs. i don’t really exersise that m uch but whatever.
About 3 1/2 years ago when i was 17 i got into a car accitdent and started to experiance lower back aches/pain thereafter. when i went to the doc. he basically said i have muscle spasms in my lower back and gave me some muscle relaxe(which didn’t help). it didnt hurt all the time just occasionaly so i just said screw the doc and i managed. well that proggressivly got worse (last summer it was basically hurting daily).
so i went to an orthopedic doctor 6 (feb 09) months ago. that doc gave x-rays and said i hade a cronic sprain in my back. he gave me loratab, mobic and physical therapy. he then did a mri (mar. 25 2009) he concluded that i had bulging disc in my lower back. he continued loratab, mobic, and took me off physical therapy. HOWEVEr i got in another auto accident (not server… hit my head on the steering wheel but no airbags) in mar 2809 aswell.
AROUND THE FIRST PART OF APRIL I BEGAN TO HAVE A NEW PROBLEM.
My neck and shoulder muscles started being tight/painfull. it started out mild and occasional so i went to the doc (early june 09). he ordered another set of x-rays and c-spine mri. On june 20, 09 i got the xray/mri and the doc told me i had “damaged soft tissue” So i asked what is going on with me and he said, “You have a hurt neck”. DUH. he ordered me to contiued loratab, mobic and zanaflex and started physical theray again. I DONT KNOW whether the pain/tightness in my neck/shoulder muscles INCREASED naturally or b/c of physical therapy. But by mid july it got to the point where i could not sleep at night (regardless of how may muscle relaxers i took) even though this was not every night but still very frequent.
BY THIS TIME I WAS FEED UP WITH MY CURRENT DOCTOR!!!!
I wanted a second opinion… i got one at the end of july 09.
the new doctor (orthopedic) looked over all previous xrays/mri and told me i had 2 “buldging disc” in my lower back and had “irritated soft tissue” in my c-spine area. i was desperate and asked what do i do. the doc orders me an epidural in my c-spine.
on 8/4/09 i got the epidural. THAT WAS THE WORST TWO WEEKS OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! THE EPIDURAL CAUSE A WHOLE NEW SET OF F’ED UP ****. HEADACHES THAT ONLY ( AND I MEAN ONLY) GO AWAY WHEN LYING DOWN AND MORE PAIN AROUND THE BASE OF MY SCULL. That is another story.
because of my complecations with the c-spine epidural i went the the ER twice. they gave me a new set of scans:xrays, ct scan, and mri and said i have a possible CSF leak, stenosis of the c=spine and straighting of thej neck and two disc that are getting that are basically shrinking (i can’t remember the term). the epidural helped none and i am still having pain/tighting of the muscles in my neck/shoulders and pain/aching in my lower back!
DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH?
PLEASE GIVE ME ANY THOUGHTS, COMMENTS, EXPERIANCES, ANYTHING. THANKS
Can any one tell me the their salary or the average salary of a physical therapist working in California only
I had a very bad cold so that I had the opportunity to watch A&E’s Intevention. Over 80% if not 90% of the addicts return to their addiction after they left rehab.
I’m beginning to wonder if rehab only works if the addicts admits themselves, not forced into going…
I placed this question in Mental Health, because from what I watched, ALL of the addicts had mental issues. Everything from child molestation to mental/physical abuse

That is, if he or she works for a clinic, hospital, etc.
I have begun my first year of college as a Bachelor of Arts in Music major and Pre-Physical Therapy student, and I read that some PT students can receive assistance for graduate study through their employer. Is it possible that I could qualify for this type of assistance when it is time for me to attend Physical Therapy School?
because physical therapy is not helping me i have had scoliosis over a year
