I had surgery on my right foot in March 06. I was on crutches for 3 months. I lost a significant amount of muscle in that leg (enough to see a big difference with the naked eye). I’ve recently started exercising and started to wonder if I should have gone through physical therapy. Is it too late to start now? And if I don’t/can’t start now, are there any tips on getting my legs back to the same size while I work out in the gym?

I fell off of a trampoline and broke the two bones in my right arm in the 5th grade and I’m 17 now. The only therapy I had was when the nurses made me turn my arm a few different ways so they knew when to take the cast off, and then during the one follow-up.
Now I get this shooting pain that starts at the joint in my wrist and ends just before my funny bone. It happens randomly, but usually starts when I stretch out my hand to grab something. I also hit my funny bone a lot. I mean like constantly, about 5 or 6 times a week.
I’ll have my arm in the same position for a few minutes, and then my funny bone will randomly start to hurt just like the bone in my arm does. As for the shooting pain, its like: I feel this tingle on the outside bone in my arm, and as soon as I realize it, it turns into the general pain.
Is this because I never went through phsyical therpay, or does it just happen?
Thanks!
(Sorry for the long question)
which is cool because everybody says surgery just makes it worse.
Anyhow, I have 2 slipped disc in neck and disc bulge. I also have a slipped acromion which impinges my tendon in shoulder with tenonytis. I also have sciatica with a partial rupture in lower back.
I am in alot of pain and the doctors say theres nothing to do about it that im just going to hurt for a “long” time but they dont know how long
anyhow, I stopped taking pain pills because after you take them for 7 months you feel like a walking zombie.
physical therapy hasnt helped at all. I get alittle better and then a whole lot worse then I have to start all over again.
Anybody been through something like this?
Ideas to control the pain? I am going nuts with so many sleepless nights.
