which is a better career choice Rn or physical therapist? Including which pays better and which is harder to become. Also do you have to go to medical school to become an PT?
I realize the two careers are very different and I have looked at both jobs extensively. Are both of these careers in high demand right now and do you think they will be around for awhile? I’d love to hear from Ultrasound Techs and Physical Therapists to hear your take.?
I have a back injury related to an elevator accident. I have a herniated disc in L5 S1. It’s worker’s comp related & they did NOT approve epidural injections that my pain management doc suggested nor did they approve physical therapy.
I decided to get a lawyer involved and have the shots anyways despite pros/cons & since workers comp takes too long to approve anything. Its now been a year and nothings done. They gave me a choice of doctors (by the time they approve stuff, I will already have had the shots).
Which speciality is best (I chose relevant ones on their list) ? Keep in mind that I will already have had shots and that they “randomly” select THREE docs in that specialty so I cant go to my “own.”
(1) Orthopaedic Surgery
(2) Pain Management – Anesthesiology
(3) Pain Management – Pain Medicine
(4) Physical Medicine & Rehab
(5) Acupuncture
(6) Chiropractic – Orthopaedic
(7) Chiropractic – Sports Medicine
(8) Chiropractic – Rehab

Which Would You Choose?

i recently met the “perfect guy”. he has all the qualities a woman wants in a man. he’s cute as hell, smart, fun, funny but he is dating another chick. but i like him and we are having fun doing what we do until we are ready to make our next step. yesterday i got a call from my ex, who i end on semi bad terms w/. he called me telling me he was shot and robbed last month and it made him realize how much he missed me and wanted to try again. i feel bad for ending it w/ him(even though he was doing some shady stuff) and i real feel bad for him now bc he is going through physical rehab due to being shot. part of me wants to try again but i domt want to go through this mess w/ him sneaking around on me. i like them both and i am enjoying my time w/ the new guy but i feel like i need to be in my ex’s life. what would you do?they arent my only two options, just the only two who matter right now.
Which Are The Best Universities In Us For Careers Such As Sport Physician Or Physical Therapist?
Jan 20
I’m in high school right now and I want to have a career in sports medicine, but I don’t know whether to become a sports doctor or a physical therapist. But either way, I want to look at colleges that offer decent undergrad and graduate programs for these careers.
Any advice?
Also, what should I major in if I want to go into either one of these careers?
I am a university student looking to volunteer in a hospital that is mainly for older patients, I have two options, either to work in Rehab settings or in patient care, I don’t really know what the difference in responsibilities would be like but the volunteering assistant I spoke with said that the rehab setting is more of a group-work kind of thing, while patient care is more an individual responsibility, I plan to apply to nursing and/or physical therapy schools later, so what setting (rehab or patient care) do you think I should choose ?
I would perfer the opinion of actural chiropractors and physical therapist. OH and also I have to get a job in college to pay for it, so which one may be easier to study but also keep my job?
