how do they do that? my boyfriend is in jail now and he was ordered by the courts on friday to serve two months in county jail followed by 6 months in drug rehab. mind you he is not a drug addict, he just smokes weed, but he used that tactic to get his actual jail time reduced. he tried to call me yesterday collect of course, and i wasnt home but on the answering machine it says “you have a collect call from” and he said “i may be f*cked for another year”. I know he had to have a physical, is it possible that they gave him a drug test? I don’t believe he did anything since being there and he’s been there for two weeks. Prior to that he smoked alot of it though. how long does pot stay in your system? Hes a pretty big guy, bout 260 lbs. i believe it would also be considered a violation of his original probation.

I am 17 weeks pregnant today. For the last 5 days I have had very bad back pain four out of the five days. I talked to my doctor yesterday and she suggested Tylenol and heating pads (both of which I have been doing the last 4 days) But my back pain is still rather
strong. I am getting very concerned since I have a toddler at home and all the regular duties as a SAHM. Just thinking about going through this for another 21 weeks is really worrying me. I don’t think I can handle it. So for those that have had chronic back pain- What helped the most? When did yours start? How long did it last? Did it last only a few days, weeks or the rest of the pregnancy.
My doctor also suggested that I get a Belly Band. I order that today but it will take about a week to get here. She also said that I could have physical therapy, but I really would like to avoid that if possible. Thanks for your help.
I went to my PCP and told him about my back problems. He did a few things and decided that I need physical therapy. Well, after about two months of physical therapy, my back still hurt very bad and the pain has progressed to where I have trouble sleeping at night. Here’s my question. Can anyone help me get an idea of what is going on with my back? These are my symptoms:
When I lay flat on my back and sit up something that feels like bone pops and almost brings me to tears. (so there is no laying no my back)
After sitting for a long period where my back meets my bottom hurts so bad that I can barely stand up.
After walking for a long period of time, my back hurts so bad, I have to sit down.
Heat doesn’t help.
Cold doesn’t help.
And here is the kicker. I am only 27, and slightly overweight. Not obese.
I’ve had chronic, severe back pain for the past 4-5 years. Mostly in the lower back, but does go to the middle back and occassionally the neck area as well. It is almost always there and is slowly getting worse i think. Most of the time it is there, sometimes it is throbbing other times just constant pain with a few sharp pains. I have been through chiropractic therapy, physical therapy, massages, numerous doctors visits, x-rays and blood work…and nobody can find an answer or solution to what my problem is and none of the therapy worked at all. Does anybody have any ideas to my problem or suggestions as what i should do/try next? ANYTHING would help…thanks.
Due to a workman’s comp issue/injury (see prev ?’s: same injury, dr, lawyer), I’m in physical therapy – their Dr. of course. Part of PT is having electrode things that tingle/vibrate placed on my neck. Afterward, I felt a pain on the back of my neck. I had my daughter look and when i lifted my hair, she screams and says it looks like they put a cigar out on my neck. I immediately took pictures, & contacted my lawyer (after applying burn cream). The lawyer said “it doesnt affect anything unless it gets so infected it scars and needs plastic surgery”. He was SO unconcerned about it. He didnt even want to see the pics. When I went back to the dr, I showed him and all he said was we wont do the electrodes for awhile. It hurts like hell & looks even worse. It IS infected by the way. I dont have insurance & the hospital will charge me full $ to treat it. What do I do? We started strength training and are working muscles that were getting dusty. now i hurt like hell from my muscles being sore.
How do i prevent or treat this pain?
So Im 20 years of age and attending a community college studying to become a physical therapist and soon transferring to a university. Now once I get my bachelors degree in kinesiology I would like to sign up for the Air Force. My question is however; if I am in the Air force could I still go to physical therapy school? Or how does that work? Am i going to have to wait until I get out to continue my schooling and become a Physical Thearpist?
I am 28 weeks pregnant and have been having severe pain in my left hip. My doctor has just recommended that I start physical therapy. However, the more active I am, the more my hip hurts. How is this going to help?? My hip feels the best when I wake up in the morning because I’ve been resting for 8-9 hours. This doesn’t quite make sense to me…
I was married for 15 yrs, we have three children, long story short. While I was married, I was a mother thats it. I had no skills, no education above hs. I never realized how controlled I was. Untill, I wanted a divorce. Since, I was a doormat my ex convinced me that I could not take care of the children, so I signed a paper stating he could have temp custody. We were in Indiana, he ran off to california with the kids. Five yrs later, I was able to move to California, now not that same doormat. He is now in rehab for alcohol abuse (that is putting it nicely) I want to file for custody of the children becuase he is a drunk. I am trying to decide if that is wrong. I know they are better off with me, becuase I do not drink or use drugs. Is it dirty? Or should I care? oh yes, I am also unable to see my children because “I am not on the list”Apparentely, my ex made a list of people who can see the children while he is “away”. So I am freating becuase I miss them so much.
