I have fibromyalgia and degenerative and prolapsed disk disease and diagnosed with osteopenia i have been doing physical therapy for two months no help so doctor is sending me to a specialist i was wondering to if i would be going back to my job i work in a factory setting and alot of lifting and bending and standing i need answers i was wondering should i go ahead and quit my job and try to get disability. thanks so much…

I have a bulging disc and I’ve been through physical therapy. Now I am in the worst pain ever. Has anyone had this before and had it cured? How? I am desperate here!!! I work in an office during the day and wait tables at night and this is seriously interfering with my life!!!
I want to work in rehab- not for drug/alcohol abusers, but for accident victims, amputees etc, especially with children. I want to work in both the physical and mental side of their recovery.
What Uni courses should I take? Physiotherapist… occupational therapist..?

Im going to school for Physical therapy technician/Wound car tech…. would i be able to work as a wound care tech and a physical therapy tech at the same time in a hospital, and possibly get a higher salary or pay?
I haven’t worked since August 2002. I’m on disability. I was approved the first time. I’ve been working very hard in rehab to improve, and I finished 17 months of physical therapy in March, (I’m still doing PT, but on my own now). The doctors still have not cleared me to work yet – they aren’t going to clear me until pain is under control and I’m off narcotics, and I’m still on narcotics and I still don’t have pain under control. But I”m trying. I want to work very bad- especially since my wife died and I”m here all day. But how do you deal with the gap, everyone I spoke with requires recent experience. That won’t be the case for me. Most likely I will have to find something else to do and start over. I just don’t know what that might be. Should I just let the DVR handle dealing with the employers? I don’t know.
I was perscribed physical therapy after x-rays had shown my spine was too straight. They told me to stop all sports includeing kickboxing, and I am devistated. My back pain has only gotten worse since I had started and now I am questioning the effectiveness of the treatment

Knee Pain When I Work Out?

I have not been to the gym in a while. I used to take kickboxing and never had a problem with my knees. Suddenly i am having a hard time with my right knee. Growing up i had to have physical therapy due to pain in my knees, that has been long taken care of.
I even bought new sneakers to work out in thinking that would help. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be, or any exercises i can do while not putting any stress on my knees??

my friend went to a physical therapist and she had the worst pain in the world after treatment. she gave it a try for two weeks and her condition got really bad. i came to the conclusion that physical therapy is just a bunch of crap about wearing hot patches and sitting on some kind of bicycle. physical therapy doesnt really work for people with back and body pains i guess…what do u think will really help her at this point?
I don’t think they would wear scrubs . I have to do a project/skit and I play a physical therapist and we have to dress the part.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
