How Can I Heal My Wrist Tendonitis. Can Anyone Help?

I have had tendonitis in my wrist for near two years and it gets so frustrating to have it still be painful. It all started when i was obsessively drawing with a pen till my wrist was in so much pain i had to stop. i thought i was building muscle bc it was sore but wow i was really wrong………… i have done physical therapy, and most of the typical stuff and now i want some more ideas???? i do some of the wrist stretches as well and mostly try to stay off of it. i don’t draw anymore and dabble with the guitar which can make my wrist quite angry? i just need some ideas on how to really get this healed. please………

What Can I Do About Wrist Pain That Won’t Go Away?

I’ve had pain in both of my wrists for at least five years now. My anatomy is a bit rusty, but I think it’s the ulna, on the outside of my wrist. It’s usually a constant and dull ache all of the time and if I do something stressful it gets really bad. I play polo and am not willing to give that up, however it kills my wrist every time. I wear braces or wrap it whenever I play, but the support does not seem to help.
It started with my left wrist. The doctors have ruled out ganglion (sp?) cysts and fractures and whatever else may be visible on an MRI or x-ray. The doctor called it tendinitis and sent me to physical therapy. I’ve been told that when a doctor calls something tendinitis it’s because they don’t actually know what’s wrong. I did six months of physical therapy for the left wrist and it did no good. The physical therapist said I had “loose joints.” A few months later the right one flared up as well, so now I have two crappy wrists.
So, my question, has anyone experienced or heard of this before? If so, is there any way to get rid of it? Even typing can set off the pain. I don’t think arthritis either, I’m 20.
Thanks!

Wrist Pain?

I’ve had this pain in my left wrist for I think about 2 years now…I really have no idea of what caused it in the first place, maybe when I was exercising or something…but anyways, I already had an x-ray taken and the doctors said that there was nothing wrong with it. Well, then he said ‘it might not be in the bones instead it might be in the muscles’…How do I find out what in the world is wrong because nowdays the pain is even more frequent than ever because I think the pain has spread even further, especially when I make movements.I personally don’t like physical therapy in general because of my previous experience with them being no help for me…So are there any other ways? Can energy work be done perhaps?

What Can I Do For Wrist Pain?

I have been having pretty significant joint and wrist pain. I saw my dr last week and she gave me a referal to Physical Therapy. I have an appointment on Tues. I asked if she could prescribe something for the pain and she gave me a referal to the Pain Clinic, meanwhile Im suffering in a lot of pain. Tylenol 3 helps most of my other joint pain but not my wrists. And nothing helps the wrist pain aside from bengay type of ointments and they only work for maybe half an hour. There has to be SOMETHING? Anyone?

Wrist Pain “flexor Tenosynovitis”?

I have played guitar for years and apparently was slowly injuring my left (fretting hand) wrist. Two months ago I felt a sharp pain while bending a note. I quit playing immediatly but the wrist got more sore in the next few days. I got a referral for physical therapy and went twice a week for almost 2 months. I eventually got to see an othopedic hand specialist who said i have Flexor Tenosynovitis. Ive been on prescription anti-inflamitories (diclofenac sodium), cortisone treatment via phono phoresis, a liniment with capisin and an anti-inflmamitory, a wrist brace and lots of ice, but very little improvement. I still cant hold a glass of water left handed without pain. Playing the guitar is out of he question.
The orthopedic doctor said in last week’s follow up visit that he thinks my ulner nerve is part of the equation, so now i am sleeping in a long-arm splint.
Does anyone have any advice? should i ask for MRI or anything else?

What Happens If Adult Child Sent To Jail Who Has Just Had Recent Wrist Surgery? Is Jail The Only Option?

Adult child is being charged to violating probation (more than 1st offense). They just had wrist surgery two weeks ago, removing 3 bones, in a cast, and in physical therapy. Will they allow medical care? How? They were in drug rehab 4 months ago.

What Can Happen To Your Arm If You Break Your Wrist At A Young Age, And Do Not Go Through Physical Therapy?

I fell off of a trampoline and broke the two bones in my right arm in the 5th grade and I’m 17 now. The only therapy I had was when the nurses made me turn my arm a few different ways so they knew when to take the cast off, and then during the one follow-up.
Now I get this shooting pain that starts at the joint in my wrist and ends just before my funny bone. It happens randomly, but usually starts when I stretch out my hand to grab something. I also hit my funny bone a lot. I mean like constantly, about 5 or 6 times a week.
I’ll have my arm in the same position for a few minutes, and then my funny bone will randomly start to hurt just like the bone in my arm does. As for the shooting pain, its like: I feel this tingle on the outside bone in my arm, and as soon as I realize it, it turns into the general pain.
Is this because I never went through phsyical therpay, or does it just happen?
Thanks!
(Sorry for the long question)
